Adopt a Cat from Feline Friends London
Our adoption fees are £125 for a single kitten under 6 months, £200 for a pair of kittens under 6 months, £120 for an adult cat, and £90 for cats of 10 years and over.
All adult cats in our foster care will have been vet-checked, neutered, fully vaccinated, deflead, dewormed, and microchipped by the time they are rehomed. Kittens of 9 weeks are rehomed with a first vaccination and will have had a full vaccination course if rehomed at 13 weeks. For cats under 6 months, we need you to agree to get them neutered and microchipped by 6 months of age, which can be arranged through us.
Cats rehomed directly from their current owner or carer are assessed for their health, but may not have been neutered, fully vaccinated, deflead, dewormed, or microchipped by the time they are rehomed. If this is the case with a cat you would like to adopt, we need you to agree to get them neutered and microchipped, which can be arranged through us.
Please read about our adoption process before applying to adopt a cat (listed further below):
If you are interested in a cat that is listed on our website, please email us with the name of the cat in the subject line. If you want to register your interest in kittens or to be added to our list for new cats as they become known to us, please email us with the type of cat you are looking for in the subject line. We will keep your details and contact you if a suitable cat is identified.
At this time, all applications should be emailed directly to: felinefriendslondon@gmail.com
Please ensure the following:
Your email must contain your full postal address and contact number.
Your email should have the cat’s name that you are applying to adopt, or the type of cat you’re interested in, in the subject line.
Please tell us about yourself, why you wish to adopt a cat, or a specific cat, and about your home set-up: who lives in the home, how often people are at home, any outside space, your experience with cats, etc.
We receive a lot of applications from people wishing to adopt our cats and kittens. Unfortunately, this means that our volunteers are not always able to respond to every application we receive. We hope that you can understand that we do our best, that we appreciate your kindness in offering a home for our cats, and that the welfare of our cats is at the forefront of our minds at all times.
Meet the Cats Looking for New Homes
Aya
Aya
Aya is a very special 8 year old Oriental cat with a big personality and an even bigger voice.
Affectionate, charismatic and full of character, he is looking for a loving home where he can enjoy plenty of company, attention and stimulation.
An affectionate and vocal boy
Aya loves cuddles, sitting on laps, playtime and lounging in sunny spots. He even enjoys having his tummy rubbed and warms up to people quickly. Intelligent, cheeky and determined, he has a playful streak that makes him endlessly entertaining. He is gentle with people and does not scratch or hiss.
Aya is also wonderfully vocal. Oriental and Siamese cats are known for their chatty nature, and Aya is no exception. His meows are loud, expressive and sometimes insistent, even after he has been fed and played with. He loves attention and will happily interrupt whatever you are doing to ask for more. His ideal adopter will understand and embrace this breed characteristic, ideally enjoying or having experience of chatty Oriental or Siamese cats.
Aya’s ideal home and care needs
Active and intelligent, Aya needs daily interaction, mental stimulation and two play sessions. He enjoys toys but can become bored without enough to do. He does not like being alone for long periods or overnight, so he needs a home where someone spends plenty of time around and enjoys an interactive companion.
Aya is accustomed to indoor-outdoor life and enjoys exploring the garden. He must be the only pet, as he does not get along with other cats. Having had all his teeth removed, he may also be more vulnerable if involved in a fight. A secure, cat-proof garden or a safe neighbourhood with few visiting cats would be ideal.
Aya had all his teeth removed due to congenital gingivitis, which has left him much more comfortable. He continues to enjoy his food and currently eats KatKin wet food and Royal Canin Dental dry food, which must be moistened to soften it for eating. His ongoing dietary needs should be discussed with his vet to help keep his gums healthy. He has recently had a veterinary check-up and his annual vaccination.
Aya is a little overweight and very enthusiastic about food! His new family will need to manage portion sizes and discuss a suitable feeding plan with his vet to help him maintain a healthy weight.
Aya is being rehomed through no fault of his own due to a change in his owner's personal circumstances. He has been deeply loved for 6 years, making this a very sad decision for his current owner.
A true Velcro-cat, Aya loves being close to his people and involved in everyday life. He needs someone who will cherish his affectionate nature, embrace his quirks and enjoy having a cuddly, playful and wonderfully characterful companion. In return, he has an enormous amount of love to give.
Could you be the person who gives Aya the loving home he deserves?
