Gary

£0.00

Gary is a debonair 2-year-old black cat who has risen triumphantly from a difficult past. Rescued from an abusive home, he’s spent the past three months with a loving foster family where he’s healed, gained confidence, reached a healthy weight and recovered from his food insecurity. Gary is now neutered, fully vaccinated and ready to find his forever home.

Gary’s favourite pastimes include lounging in sunbeams, body-slamming his humans for breakfast, batting feather wands and zooming after laser pointers. While Gary is affectionate, he likes to give and receive love on his own terms – he enjoys being near people but also values his independence. He’s playful, curious and does best with lots of stimulation.

Gary has lived happily with children aged 8 and 10 in his foster home, and has been a fantastic (and hilarious) playmate. He enjoys being picked up and cuddled, and he’ll gently let you know when he’s not in the mood for strokes. For this reason, he wouldn’t be the best match for families with very young children who might not yet understand cat body language cues. So far, Gary has lived as an indoor cat, but we think he’d love access to the outdoors in a safe area.

Gary is a strong, resilient soul who’s overcome an incredibly tough start in life. He’s majestic and derpy, full of charm and character, and would make a wonderful companion for someone who can respect his boundaries while appreciating his quirks. If you're looking for a cat with spirit and spark, Gary is your guy.
