Adopt a Cat from Feline Friends London
Our adoption fees are £125 for a single kitten under 6 months, £200 for a pair of kittens under 6 months, £120 for an adult cat, and £90 for cats of 10 years and over.
All adult cats in our foster care will have been vet-checked, neutered, fully vaccinated, deflead, dewormed, and microchipped by the time they are rehomed. Kittens of 9 weeks are rehomed with a first vaccination and will have had a full vaccination course if rehomed at 13 weeks. For cats under 6 months, we need you to agree to get them neutered and microchipped by 6 months of age, which can be arranged through us.
Cats rehomed directly from their current owner or carer are assessed for their health, but may not have been neutered, fully vaccinated, deflead, dewormed, or microchipped by the time they are rehomed. If this is the case with a cat you would like to adopt, we need you to agree to get them neutered and microchipped, which can be arranged through us.
Please read about our adoption process before applying to adopt a cat (listed further below):
If you are interested in a cat that is listed on our website, please email us with the name of the cat in the subject line. If you want to register your interest in kittens or to be added to our list for new cats as they become known to us, please email us with the type of cat you are looking for in the subject line. We will keep your details and contact you if a suitable cat is identified.
At this time, all applications should be emailed directly to: felinefriendslondon@gmail.com
Please ensure the following:
Your email must contain your full postal address and contact number.
Your email should have the cat’s name that you are applying to adopt, or the type of cat you’re interested in, in the subject line.
Please tell us about yourself, why you wish to adopt a cat, or a specific cat, and about your home set-up: who lives in the home, how often people are at home, any outside space, your experience with cats, etc.
We receive a lot of applications from people wishing to adopt our cats and kittens. Unfortunately, this means that our volunteers are not always able to respond to every application we receive. We hope that you can understand that we do our best, that we appreciate your kindness in offering a home for our cats, and that the welfare of our cats is at the forefront of our minds at all times.
Meet the Cats Looking for New Homes
Maisie 2
Maisie 2
Maisie is a beautiful 6 year old calico girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart.
With her striking orange, black and white coat, she is quite the beauty, but it is her character that really makes her special. Playful, clever and wonderfully opinionated, Maisie knows exactly what she likes and is not afraid to let you know! She may take a little time to warm up to new people and surroundings, but once you have earned her trust, you will have a devoted little shadow who loves nothing more than being by your side.
Her personality and favourite things
Maisie is an energetic, curious girl who loves exploring her surroundings, investigating every window she can find and enjoying her famous morning zoomies. She is playful and full of character, but she also has a softer side. She adores spending time with her favourite people and loves settling down for a cosy movie night. She is happiest when she is included in whatever you are doing, whether that is relaxing on the sofa or getting comfortable in bed.
A cat of finer tastes, Maisie appreciates a good gourmet wet food dinner and a warm blanket to curl up in when the weather turns cold. She is also rather useful to have around if you happen to have a spider problem! Despite her cheeky, demanding nature, she is respectful of her home and belongings and has never been one to cause damage.
Maisie can feel anxious when entering a new environment, and she will need a little time to feel safe and settled. At first, you may find her making use of every hiding spot available, but do not let that fool you. Beneath that cautious exterior is an incredibly loving cat who simply needs to build trust at her own pace.
Once Maisie feels comfortable, her transformation is wonderful. She becomes a confident, affectionate companion who loves sleeping in bed with you, following you from room to room and keeping you company throughout the day.
Her ideal home
Maisie would thrive in a calm, loving home with people who understand that trust takes time. She is not suited to a home with children, and she would much prefer not to share attention with other cats or pets in the household.
Maisie would love a home that can safely accommodate her established outdoor lifestyle. Above all, she needs someone who will appreciate her independent streak while giving her plenty of affection, companionship and cosy places to curl up.
If you are looking for a playful, affectionate and slightly bossy companion who will follow you everywhere, claim a spot in your bed and make sure you are never lonely, Maisie might just be your girl. She has so much love to give, as long as you are prepared to give her plenty in return! Give her patience, reassurance and the attention she deserves, and she will reward you with a loyalty that makes her feel less like a pet and more like your little best friend.
