Phoebe

£0.00

Phoebe was a starving stray cat in the middle of winter who was getting attacked by other strays in the area, unable to fend for herself. Luckily, she was rescued by a member of the public who took her home and nursed her back to health. Phoebe quickly turned out to be a very beautiful and affectionate girl, one of the most loving cats she has ever met, according to her rescuer. With a heavy heart, her rescuer is now looking for a peaceful, loving furever home for Phoebe.

Phoebe is around 1–2 years old, according to the vet. She is very gentle with people and a certified lap cat who loves to cuddle, especially at bedtime. She often meows at her rescuer to come to bed so she can sleep on top of her or next to her. She is affectionate in a quiet, non-demanding way and enjoys being near her caregiver. She has long gorgeous hair which is currently shaven to help her with the summer heat. She takes very good care of herself, regularly grooms herself and uses the litterbox like clockwork, usually at night. She’s calm, clean, and quiet, and just the perfect feline housemate and friend.

She does still have a nervous side and hides a lot during the day due to noise or tension with the resident cats. All attempts at introducing them to her have failed and continues to swat or hiss if they come near. She prefers the company of people and often needs someone nearby to feel comfortable enough to eat or settle, still affected from her time on the streets. Phoebe deserves a peaceful, loving forever home where she can be the only cat. She’s way too soft and people-focused for outdoor life.

She has been comfortably kept indoors since being taken in at the beginning of the year. Giving her previous struggles, she might still prefer to mostly stay indoors, though it would be nice to give her the option of an enclosed outside space close to the house or a cat-proofed balcony. Otherwise, an indoor space with big windows and lots of natural light and space to lounge with their human becomes essential for this girl’s ideal home.
